Outside, at your own pace

A slower kind
of weekend.

You don't need a long itinerary to find a change of scenery. Sometimes a familiar path, a flask of tea and an unhurried afternoon are enough.

On foot

Take the same walk twice

A route changes when you stop trying to finish it. Notice the trees that have lost their leaves, the direction of the light and the small streets you usually pass. A short loop can hold more than you expect.

Leave enough time to turn down an unfamiliar path. Keep the route simple, and choose a distance that leaves some energy for the journey home.

In your bag

Bring less, notice more

Comfortable shoes, water and a layer for the weather are a good beginning. A small notebook gives you somewhere to put a thought without opening a screen. Write one sentence about something you noticed.

A quiet habit

Leave a little room

Not every free hour needs a plan. Find a bench, watch the weather move and let the afternoon unfold. Taking a break is a worthwhile use of time.
